What is an adam's apple?

If you see a questionable lady/man, a good way to see which gender they REALLY represent is to look for an adam's apple when all else fails. B/c, you see, girls don't have adam's apples. Recently I had the opportunity of witnessing a friend when they learned about this fun fact for the first time. You know who you are. I won't reveal your identity for your sake... :)

An adam's apple is simply what scientists call, "The Larnyx." This word that sounds like a character from "The Labrynth" or a name brand arthritis medication is actually just another word for "voice box." Place two fingers on your throat and make any sound you like. Do it now. The vibrations you feel are resulting from the hard work of the larnyx. When the larynx grows larger during puberty, it sticks out at the front of the throat. This is what's called an Adam's apple.

Now you all know.

And yes, I know that scientists did not name human anatomy.
